Men, music, meaning, connection…

Pit Stop Sound Connections is an informal weekly meet-up for men to select, play and discuss music in a friendly, supportive and relaxed setting. We pick a theme to follow every week and bring two to three songs along on the day which we will share with the group, on our system, so long as they are available on Spotify or YouTube.  Everyone gets an opportunity to play and introduce at least one song, sometimes two.

Listening to music is a way of expressing our thoughts and feelings. It’s also possible to enhance or alter the way we are feeling. Sharing these moments together can connect us, strengthening social bonds and our links to empathy.

Discussion topics included the creation of non-traditional sounds and their effects on composition, song covers versus the originals, music that drives the mood and artists who change their musical direction to name just a few.
