I recently attended the ‘Manifest East’ men’s camp in South Cambridgeshire. This was something that was completely outside of my ‘comfort zone’, but, as it was organised by MensCraft founder member, Andy Wood, I was resolved to honour him by experiencing it and, as far as I could, to challenge myself to embrace something new. After initially experiencing a familiar flurry of self-limiting beliefs – ‘They’re so much smarter than you! No-one wants to hear what you’ve got to say! You’re a really shit hippy Colin!’ – I settled into things and had a profoundly enriching five days and nights camping by a beautiful meadow next to a stunning Elm wood. I will reflect on what I learned here over the next few months, but, for now, I’ll share some of the photographs I took during the week, as I’m told that a picture can tell a story…
Postscript: it turns out, I’m quite a good hippy after all…
