The range of what’s available at MensCraft is great to see. Men supported by DadsOnside have access to other groups, activities, opportunities and support that’s going on here. Men’s wellbeing matters to us all and, for fathers, the chance to connect with others, have those conversations around what it means to be a good dad and to navigate the organisations involved with their families is really important. Fatherhood has many stages and takes many forms but we know that when fathers (and father figures) are positively involved in their children’s lives then the impact is massive.
I’ve worked in the charitable sector for most of my career and have always loved the innovation that comes from organisations like MensCraft. I’ve previously worked supporting fathers, as well as children and young people experiencing adversity. My role here is a privilege and I feel lucky to work with a team where we know what we’re about and we pull in the same direction.
I’m a mother to three loud girls, all of whom tower above me, I avoid social media at all costs, I love nothing more than watching comedy and cooking or being cooked for. I live by lists, perhaps a bit too much. I’m learning to go with the flow (sort of).
