Men’s Support Worker – Prevention and Positive Activities

East Norfolk and Waveney

Working across East Norfolk & Waveney, you will be responsible for supporting men 18+ who are experiencing a sense of hopelessness leading to suicide ideation.

The role provides assertive outreach and support to individuals at the edge of crisis. You will enable individuals to overcome barriers, exit patterns of suicide ideation, and to engage in meaningful activities and social connections.

You will carry a caseload of clients and lead on on-going support and direction for these men.

An understanding of the complex issues contributing to suicide ideation and the impact on the lives of individuals and families is essential. As is experience of effectively supporting men via key-work, crisis intervention work, case recording, face to face work and other interpersonal work.

Hours: 30 / week. Salary: Circa £25,000 pro-rota. Initially a fixed term contract until 31 March 2023.
